They shape our perceptions and emotions.

Live music is truly a magical experience that can touch our souls in ways we never imagined. I remember the first time I visited Bali in 2019 and was mesmerized by a band playing traditional music that made me feel so connected to the rhythm and melodies. Fast forward to 2024, and I found myself captivated by a drum band that only played one song, yet the energy and passion in their performance were truly captivating.

The power of music is undeniable. It has the ability to evoke a wide range of emotions, from joy and excitement to sadness and tears. The vibrations of the instruments can even trigger the release of dopamine in our brains, making us feel good. However, it's important to be mindful of the type of music we listen to, as high-intensity genres like rock or heavy metal can have a draining effect on our brains, leaving us feeling tired or even agitated.

Having experienced live music in various countries with different instruments, I can attest to the fact that it's something truly special that I miss dearly. Whether it was sitting in a circle on the ground in Cairo, surrounded by friends, or enjoying a performance in a cultural center, each experience was unique and left a lasting impact on me.

As we navigate through life, it's essential to be aware of the influences around us and how they shape our perceptions and emotions. Our inner circle may be small, but the quality of those within it matters most. After all, you wouldn't want your circle to be filled with negativity.

I've personally felt that sensation countless times, but it's only when I choose to tune out the external noise and embrace the inner stillness that I truly feel that sense of expansiveness.

So go ahead, immerse yourself in your music, whether you're feeling joyful, melancholic, or furious. Music has a way of helping us navigate through those emotions, so just let it flow.
