Corrupt

You know, it's something that keeps popping into my head - corruption. And I don't just mean when we try to skip the line by asking a friend to do our paperwork. We're even corrupt emotionally, believe it or not.

They always say, "Stay neutral." But can we really? I personally don't think so. We're a bunch of emotions and experiences that shape how we see and handle life.

So, back to corruption. When you, as someone who claims to be educated, aware, and nice, make that call to get things done quickly through your connections, have you ever stopped to think about how many people do the same? And how it affects those who don't have those connections?

Now, let's say you're the most amazing person on this planet and you make that call, causing someone else to be delayed and their turn to be taken by you. Well, let me tell you, you're corrupt. You're one of those elements that harm our community without even realizing it. And why?

Because in today's world, we're all about ourselves. We only care about how we can get things, even if it means hurting someone else. Even the people around me who claim to love animals, I've noticed that they love what the animals give them - the love they're missing, the need to feel important and needed.

I just wish we were more aware of the consequences of our actions and took the time to understand ourselves better and what we contribute to this world.
