5hrs and 9mins to go

Day two didn't end very well in terms of my health, but that didn't dampen our spirits. We decided to challenge our minds, as it is often the reason, we give up on making positive changes in our lifestyle or surroundings.

Our minds tend to prefer the comfort zone and resist change, keeping us trapped in fear and preventing us from becoming the best version of ourselves. This can lead us to sabotage good things in order to maintain our routines, relationships, or even our food choices.

During these three days, I experienced a lot of discomfort, mostly physical. Emotionally, I felt vulnerable and shed quite a few tears. I also longed for my family.

On day 2, I only slept at 5am, and on day 3, I woke up at 7:40am, so I didn't get much sleep. As a result, day three was mentally and physically challenging. However, I only have 6 hours left, and I am excited to break the fast and taste food again.

This experience has taught me a lot. I now understand how resilient our bodies are. I also realize that we consume far more food than our bodies actually need. I didn't experience intense hunger during this time, which made me realize that much of the food we eat is unnecessary.

Many illnesses are caused by the food we consume, especially with the presence of hormones and pesticides. It is crucial to practice conscious eating, especially in today's world. Going through this experience has shown me that we don't need as much food as we think. In fact, we can even eat every other day.

In just 5 hours and 15 minutes, we will break our fast. Both Khaled and I have the same fear of reintroducing food to our stomachs. I will update you on how that goes in the next article.

Goodnight, everybody.
