Me to Europe for the 1st time

Going to Europe alone was an experience that was not expected, as a traveller I am more drawn to tropical countries, I like it's weather and the green that is growing everywhere, I like the culture and how kind the people are, I applied for the Schengen visa because of love for a man I met in Bali and we agreed I will apply so I can go to Italy for Christmas and New year's but life is unexpected event and turns, so this love didn't last that long but anyway I got the visa so I decided to go and explore a part of the world that was not in plan anytime soon.

Back to my trip to France and Italy, I went there with a lot of warnings of my european friends about safety and not walking in the streets alone after sunset and some of my arabs friends warned me about racism and how badly I would be treated coming from Egypt so I travelled with worries and add to this it was cold and I hate cold but never mind I was ready for the adventure and for the experience.

Flights were booked and accommodations in Nice, France and Rome, Italy, My lovely brother did his planning as he love to plan for traveling, I was traveling only for a week, one and half day in France and the rest in Rome, I arrived afternoon and I just dropped my things at my airbnb and went to the Old Nice as it was my highlight in the plan, I love old authentic places, I had a walk by the coast and it wasn't that cold, I had dinner in one of the old restaurants and I choose a meal that was suggested by a French friend and it was seafood, the chef was so cute and came to demonstrate how to eat the dish as it has a protocol of eating and I did enjoy every bite of it,  I did everything slowly I had a deal with myself to just slow down for a week and not rush anything at all.

I finished my dinner and walked again, I was so happy of how easy is to move around, I just got a card for public transportation and all I needed to do is to tap when I get on the bus or tram, moving around was so easy and precise, google maps was great to reach destination with all routes suggestions and for me that was great in a strange country that I don't speak their language but I felt just as welcomed as one of them.

The Old Nice was a piece of art, my eyes was satisfied, the joy of watching the old buildings was the amazing colors was as beautiful as a paint in a museum, next day I went to Mattis museum and I can't tell you how much I missed going to museums and exhibitions just to watch beautiful paint or sculptures, the food for the eyes and soul were definitely met in this trip, I had a long walk in the alleys watching the old buildings and how they preserved them, in another note I was sad of what happened and still happening to old Cairo, the beautiful old city being demolished by idiots who doesn't understand or value the beauty of it.

Anyway after a long walk I noticed that I am late for my flight to Rome the magic of the beautiful city just took over me, I was rushing in transportation to pick up my luggage and catch my flight and I did it on time, I arrived a bit late to Rome and I was still discovering how to get to my airbnb and I took the train and then a bus and it was late to go out for dinner so I just slept and woke up early to get exploring and I walked for so so many hours because Rome was a museum were people lives, I can't express how amazed I was with this beautiful city, and it was freezing cold but that didn't stop me from the desire of exploring.
